Sunrise Opening Day December 18!

Updated: Nov 24, 2020

Sunrise Park Resort has received the OK to open on December 18, weather, conditions and COVID-19 permitting. We have been working hard to get ready for you and we are STOKED!! The snow guns have been blowing like crazy, and as you can see in the photos below we are building up the base. Can I get a "woop woop!"

Now, we know that some of you are saying "December 18?? That's too long to wait!" And while our hearts are with you on that one, 2020 is SO EXTRA, pffffft!

Our goal is not to open first. Our goal is not to open with only one half of one run available, but to have our mountain open with plenty of space for you and yours to play, explore and get your jib on!

Heads up: due to COVID-19 restrictions and regulations the tubing hill will not be open this winter. ALL SEASON PASSES, LIFT TICKETS AND LESSONS MUST BE PURCHASED IN ADVANCE ONLINE to ensure a TOUCH-FREE experience. Sunrise Park Resort will be 100% cash-less this winter, so please be prepared and make your purchases online in advance at the Sunrise Store. For incidental purchases use your One Pass card, a credit card or debit card - no cash will be accepted.

Season Passes will go on sale SOON. Pre-Season Prices will be available through December 17. And YES, we do have College Passes this year for students with 12 credit hours or more this semester, look for that when the sale begins on Monday.

To ensure that you and your loved ones are in compliance with the new COVID-19 regulations, please read our FAQ on what to expect on the mountain this winter. You can also download the official "Be Well, Ski Well" PDF from NSAA (The National Ski Areas Association).

A few common sense guidelines are:

  • Face coverings must be worn in lift lines and any indoor location (including restrooms)

  • Please socially distance yourselves 6 feet apart

  • If you arrive together, you may ride the lift together

Our FAQ should answer any other questions you may have.

Sunrise Park Lodge is going through major renovations this year and will not be open for winter. You will find a plethora of cozy cabins, hotels, motels, AirBnB and VRBO rentals in our nearby communities of Greer, Pinetop-Lakeside and Show Low.

Thank you for your continued support and love through the craziness that is 2020. We are looking forward to an amazing winter with you all!
